This gallery may not be like the famous ones in Europe but it does provide some excellent insights into Aboriginal and Torres Strait art and Oceania art in general. And through that a window into these cultures both historical and contempory.

The location is great, adjacent to the Botanical Gardens. Plenty of open space, fabulous gardens and views to Sydney Harbour. The whole area is worth putting on your to do list when visiting Sydney.

There is an error in the description of Lincoln Center (Broadway at 63nd St). As far as ballet goes, Lincoln Center is home to New York City Ballet and the School of American Ballet (the company and school founded by the legendary choreographer George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein). American Ballet Theatre rents the Metropolitan Opera House for 2 months each spring, but that company is not based at Lincoln Center. The Joffrey Ballet is now based in Chicago and does not perform at Lincoln Center.
