And through that a window into these cultures both historical and contempory. The location is great, adjacent to the Botanical Gardens. Plenty of open space, fabulous gardens and views to Sydney Harbour. The whole area is worth putting on your to do list when visiting Sydney. As far as ballet goes, Lincoln Center is home to New York City Ballet and the School of American Ballet (the company and school founded by the legendary choreographer George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein). American Ballet Theatre rents the Metropolitan Opera House for 2 months each spring, but that company is not based at Lincoln Center.
